Nick Abbott Nick Abbott is the head of training at iKOS. Nick started his digital life in 1981 working on an ICL 2904 mainframe, a Commodore PET, and a Commodore VIC20. After the ritual stint in BASIC, he moved on to writing games in Z80 and 6502 assemblers, hardware interfacing, and many happy hours creating business solutions with the BBC Micro based around the Acorn View family. Old but not obsolete. He graduated with a first class degree in applied physics in the late 1980s, and he worked in IT and education right up until he joined iKOS in 2008.

Was clear and concise. My only complaint is that it doesn't make it clear enough that (1) Drupal 8 is a ways away from having the robust set of modules to extend its function; and (2) it is slower than D7 and requires more work (tweaking settings, etc) to make it perform well. But the book is solid and accurate and clear.
I will a bit disappointed. It doesn't go into much detail and is very basic in what it does discuss.
This book was great! It helped me understand the basics of Drupal 8. I would recommend this book to anyone who has not used Drupal before, it is a beginner book.
If you don't have any knowledge from working on servers then this is okay.Otherwise skip this book. There is probably better options out there
I was one of the reviewer during the development phase and found this book was quite interesting to read.If you are new to Drupal and want some basic concept with some advance featues, this is a good book to have for your library.
