I served with 1st Batt/75th Ranger Regiment between 92 and 96. I knew that the regiment had undergone a significant change but I didn't realize how much it had changed since I left. It is really cool to hear how the regiment has evolved during the GWOT. But it is even better to hear how things stay the same such as dark ranger humor and how each ranger would lay down their life for their ranger buddy.This is a great read and I suggest it for anyone that is a military buff.

While the stories are basically a decade after I left 2nd Ranger Battalion, many of them are similar to my experiences in Batt in the mid 90's. I did not have the long term combat deployments described in the book, and we had a decidedly different set of support weapons and equipment, and most importantly, we had black berets, the people in the Regiment have not changed much from my time.Reading this book is close to sitting around and BSing with your old military buddies. Even if you did not serve, anyone with an interest in real life combat stories will like this book.I really cannot express in words the courage and fortitude demonstrated in this book. Both in the acts described, and in the personal strength it took for the authors to share some of these stories. Ranger lead the way!

Very powerful! The stories are told with so much raw emotion and brutal truth in the voices of our nation's heroes, for these men are real Heroes! They literally are willing to sacrifice their lives for each other and for our country, and so many have done just that--made the ultimate sacrifice. We will never be able to repay them for everything they do to keep our nation and citizens safe. We will never be able to repay the sacrifice their families make, either. These are the best of the best! Their bravery is astounding, shocking and unparalleled. They are highly intelligent and skilled operators, but they are not machines. They are humans, with hearts and feelings, compassion, incredible dedication, loyalty and love--yes Love! They are a Brotherhood with a love and loyalty for our nation and for one another that is incomparable. They deserve our respect and so much more. These stories will stay with me for as long as I live. I was deeply moved and profoundly changed by this book. I am a veteran (not combat) USAF retired.

I am always amazed by the strength of character, fortitude, courage, bravery & determination of servicemen such as the Rangers of the 75th. Regiment.When their individual abilities are then honed by extreme educational, physical & supportive training, a soldier emerges at the pinnacle of his profession.The individual recollections recorded in this book reflect that of Rangers in Iraq & Afghanistan. It is not just the patrol contacts & E & E episodes, but the emotional impact of Ranger mates being KIA or WIA, & the manner in which it occurred.What is unusual, but very welcome, is the moving recollections of the mother of a Ranger, KIA.She shares the grief & emotional distress in coping with the death of her Ranger son.It should be recognised, that the families of returned veterans also suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.It is this type of book that I would advise all people who have not experienced military service to read. I am so happy reading this book. It has answered many questions - many things that I knew, but now Enoch has told us the "entire" story as to what happened with each subject/story. That is definitely a plus in my book. I most definitely recommend this book to everyone who has ever had any questions about the beginning to read this - it makes so much more clear and understandable. Also, this book is definitely a must for all Bible classes - it will definitely keep everyone interested as it tells all.

Absolutely a must read regardless of your proclaimed religious affiliation. This book is packed with so much truth it may just leave your spinning. I should preface these statements with the fact that in my prayers of late I've come back to my belief in Jesus/Yeshua and have been asking for truth and direction. This book, while many cynics would argue differently, helps explain EVERYTHING in life that's worth your time. If you're wondering why material gain never seems to bring you true happiness, look to your faith for the answers. We're not here for anything this world has to offer materially--Enoch knew this, and passed that on to his lineage through this compilation of books, and teachings. If you're lost in life, pick this up, read it, and be found.

Many of the Book of Enoch books available are in fact public domain (the R. H. Charles version of 1917) which means they can be given away to anyone for free, by anyone. What is the problem with public domain versions? They are full of errors, as they are around 100 years old and out-dated scholarship. Sure, they might be cheap, but most of the information is wrong. These days, many non-translators (some of whom actually claim to be translators) sell the public domain version of 1917 by R.H. Charles (both as is, and also disguised by slight rewording) as a commercial venture. This version reflects the knowledge of The Book of Enoch as it was back in 1917. Great advances have been made since then.This is an outdated and poorly translated version of the Books of Enoch. Don't waste your money.

a revealing of truths that i have pondered and searched for for years. why it was'nt put into the scripture's is a real mystery to me !!! it fits the missing pieces of the puzzle tgether that give you a better understanding of the shape the world was in and why our heavenly father predestined jesus to redeem us !!! the satan tried every way to stop it and did'nt realize that he was being used to complete the redemption of the very creatures he tried to destroy in the garden.... man !!!!

I was really after a good translation of Ethiopian Enoch 1. This translation by Chas Robert just doesn't compare to the better translation ofRichard Laurence which I have on a hard drive. I will be reordering Enoch 1 by Richard Laurence. Enoch 1 is absolutely fascinating about our beginnings and cosmology, the Lord of the Spirits of which the rulers of this world have blinded us. Read Enoch 1 Chapter 43 and understand! .

This is a very good book for someone that wants to know more about God and hisangels. Enoch was a man that walked with God to the point that he never died, butwas taken to heaven. The book tells of the organization of heaven and the angelsresponsibilities. You will develop a greater love for God and Jesus.

I already had a copy of Enoch, but that's what it was. This book is well laid out and original to what I already had. You will find that a lot of the book does coincide with the Bible.

THIS ISSUE TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE VARIOUS TRANSLATIONS OF THE BOOK WHICH MAKES COMPARING THE EXTANT VARIATIONS READABLE AND EXPLAINS TO SOME DEGREE WHY IT WAS NOT PUT INTO THE BIBLE
